The monks of Guisborough Priory kept their guarded gold in a tunnel used to slip through for nefarious deeds. The guard was a Nachtkrapp: a mythical raven that some said was the devil itself. Local legend tells of a thief who chanced his arm and was last seen running for his life pursued by the Night Raven. Luckily he turns a blind eye to those drinking this delicious porter.
